“De-Europeanization of the Patriot”: the flagship of the UAZ received the engine “Euro-2”

The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant began selling Patriot and Pickup SUVs with low-emission engines, follows from the price lists posted on the company’s official website.
However, if the “Loaf” and “Hunter” in the face of a shortage of imported equipment were “zeroed” radically at one time, then the environmental class of the 2.7-liter engine ZMZ 409051, which is equipped with “Patriots” and “Pickups” was lowered from “Euro-5” only up to Euro-2.
At the same time, the engine output did not change (150 hp, 235 Nm), as did fuel consumption in the combined cycle (12.5 l / 100 km for the Patriot; 12.8 l / 100 km for the pickup truck).
So far, the Euro-2 engine is available only in the simplest Base Ikar configuration (from 1.5 million rubles; a pickup is 25 thousand rubles more expensive) and is aggregated with a 5-speed “mechanics” of the Chinese company BAIC.
Thus, Ulyanovsk SUVs with Euro-2 engines turned out to be 20 thousand rubles cheaper than their more environmentally friendly versions in a similar configuration.

Cars are standardly equipped with an ABS sensor (without ESP), but there are no airbags – the Ikar subsidiary supplies steering wheels without airbags to the car factory. However, in exchange for a discount of 5 thousand rubles upon purchase, you can also refuse the anti-lock braking system.
Fabric chairs as standard do not have heating, the transfer case is controlled by means of a lever, and you will have to pay 40 thousand rubles for air conditioning. For another 48 thousand rubles, SUVs can be equipped with a rear axle differential lock.

Two sets of options are also offered for the Patriot – “Off-road” (winch + protection of the winch and steering rods; 71.5 thousand rubles) and Limited (front PTF, R16 alloy wheels instead of “stampings”, roof rails, rear head restraints, a dashboard with two additional scales, seats with an extended set of adjustments and combined trim, single-zone climate control, a rear-view camera, a multimedia system with a 7-inch screen and navigation, hood air stops, etc.; 250 thousand rubles).
