Volkswagen dealers in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities of the country offer new generation Multivan minivans T7. Relevant announcements appeared on the largest online car sales sites in the Russian Federation.
According to Autonews with reference to car dealers, in the absence of official supply channels, cars are imported through parallel import schemes or through registration for individuals. Some dealers even offer a warranty – but not a factory one, but their own, the publication clarifies.
The seventh generation vans have been produced at the Hannover plant since October 2021. The price in Germany starts from 45.7 thousand euros (2.785 million rubles) for a car in the basic configuration. Over time, the model was supposed to appear on our market and officially, but back in early March, Volkswagen stopped deliveries of cars to Russia.
The new Multivan was brought to Russia in the next equipped Life version with front-wheel drive and 2.0-liter turbo engines – diesel (150 hp, 360 Nm) or gasoline (204 hp, 320 Nm) – and three rows of seats .
Minivans have front and rear parking sensors with a camera, eight airbags, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, etc., the interior is trimmed with fabric, a panoramic roof is not provided. However, the optional composition of imported cars is somewhat different.
Our Multivan T7 is available both with a “short” (overall body length – 4973 mm), and with a rear overhang extended by 20 cm (5173 mm). The initial price for cars with such equipment in Germany is 53 and 54.9 thousand euros, respectively (3.24 and 3.36 million rubles).
Alas, the price tag of the Multivans did not endure the journey from Germany to Russia well and swelled upon arrival. The most affordable offer on classifieds: VW Multivan T7 for 7.6 million rubles, while some dealers ask for more than 9 million for a rare model. That is, having the equivalent of the Russian cost of T7 in euros, in Germany you can buy two new “Multivans” in the top-end Style configuration (from 61.4 thousand euros; 3.74 million rubles).
