The AUTOSTAT agency found out the timing of the start of sales of cars of the Lada Vesta NG family, the production of which started at the plant in Togliatti on March 3. As Alexander Shaprinsky, development director of Pragmatika Group of Companies, told the agency, the model will go to official dealers in mid-April.
Now the updated Vesta is produced in a simplified configuration, with an eight-valve VAZ-11182 engine (90 hp, 143 Nm) and “mechanics”. The equipment of the first batch of cars includes two frontal airbags, air conditioning, a 7-inch multimedia system screen, heated windshield, mirrors and front seats, rear parking sensors, etc.
According to the agency, Vesta NG with a 16-valve naturally aspirated 21129 (106 hp, 148 Nm) will be put on the conveyor in May. Versions with automatic transmission (most likely a Chinese-made CVT) will only be available in 2024.
According to Avtograd News, from today, April 3, AvtoVAZ will produce from 500 to 1000 incomplete Vesta NG due to a shortage of anti-roll bars, which are supplied from the Czech Republic.
By the start of sales, the plant plans to produce more than 200 Vests daily, public sources familiar with the situation at the enterprise add. However, the car plant will not be able to quickly saturate the market with Vesta (previously it was reported that it planned to assemble 100,000 Vesta NG by the end of 2023): due to the risk of a shortage of spare parts, AvtoVAZ management postponed a corporate vacation for the period from May 29 to June 19.
Now the Lada website still shows prices for pre-styling Vesta, prices start at 1,121,900 rubles. Of course, the NG version will be more expensive.
