Crossover Omoda C5 received all-wheel drive and a new power unit in Russia

The new Omoda C5 AWD, according to the press service of the brand, is equipped with a 1.6 TGDI engine with turbocharging and direct fuel injection.

The engine develops 150 hp. and a maximum torque of 275 Nm at 2000-4000 rpm and can run on “92” gasoline.
The turbo engine is aggregated with a 7-speed 7DCT robotic gearbox with a “wet” type dual clutch.
The torque is transmitted to the wheels through an all-wheel drive transmission based on a multi-plate electromagnetic clutch that distributes the traction force along the axles depending on road conditions.
The driver can select economical, comfortable and sporty driving modes, separate “presets” for driving in snow and mud, as well as forcibly activate all-wheel drive.
From zero to hundreds of all-wheel drive Omoda C5 can accelerate in 8.6 seconds; the claimed average fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 7.4 liters per 100 km.
Together with the new engine and transmission, the crossover also received a rear multi-link suspension with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers. The latter, as the representatives of the brand assure, had a beneficial effect on the handling of the car.
In Russia, the Omoda C5 AWD crossover is available in two trim levels. In the basic Active version, the car costs from 2,879,900 rubles, the starting price of a crossover in the Supreme version is 3,049,900 rubles.
