Kia Seltos compact crossovers are produced at the Avtotor plant using the full cycle method (with welding and body painting). However, in the spring, the enterprise faced a shortage of components: until autumn, the conveyors worked intermittently, and the machines were assembled in small batches.
In parallel with the Kaliningrad cars, Korean-assembled Hyundai entered the dealer network, but Kia has so far refrained from importing cars to Russia, although OTTS on the Korean-made Soul, Seltos, Sorento, Mohave, Cerato, K5 and Stinger models have already been received.
As Vladimir Shcherbakov, founder of the Avtotor holding, said earlier, the production of Kia cars at the plant will last until the end of September, after which assembly of cars of other brands will be launched in Kaliningrad. And now the last batch of Seltos crossovers has reached official dealers.
According to the Quto.ru portal, crossovers in the Style configuration with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and all-wheel drive are offered for 2,890,000 rubles, while the recommended retail price for a car in this version is 2,374,900 rubles. Other official dealers, according to the publication, have a similar margin: from 400 to 600 thousand rubles to the recommended price.
Also, customers are offered to order Mohave SUVs from the latest Kaliningrad batch. There are no price tags in car dealerships yet, however, according to rumors, managers are voicing an amount of 7.5 million rubles, that is, immediately 1.225 million more than an SUV in the richest Premium + configuration costs.
