Another car brand from China will soon appear on the Russian market. According to Avto.Ru magazine, the Jetour Motors Rus company is registered in the unified state register of legal entities, which will sell and service Jetour crossovers.
The sub-brand Jetour (translated as “victory trail”) was launched by Chery in 2018 in order to attract a young audience with a catchy design and low prices.
For example, the Jetour X70 crossover – the brand’s first model – was built on the basis of the Chery Tiggo 8, but if the G8 in China asks for at least 88.8 thousand yuan (956 thousand rubles), then the X70 Plus is available for 69.9 thousand yuan (752 thousand rubles).
In 2022, the crossover was updated: a panel of two 10.25-inch screens appeared in the cabin, and a 2.0-liter turbo engine (254 hp, 390 Nm) was added to the range of engines. The other two engines are the familiar turbo fours 1.5 (156 hp, 230 Nm) and 1.6 (197 hp, 290 Nm). All-wheel drive is not provided.
The most “youthful” Jetour is the Dasheng crossover, in the creation of which Huawei participated. If the X70 is similar in size (4720 x 1900 x 1695 mm; wheelbase – 2745 mm) to Skoda Kodiaq, then Dasheng (4590 x 1900 x 1685 mm; wheelbase – 2720 mm) will replace Toyota RAV4 and VW Tiguan in our market. The front panel has a 15.6-inch multimedia touch screen with augmented reality elements, and the exterior is a cross between the Lamborghini Urus and Toyota Highlander: of course, adjusted for the proportions of the compact platform and overall cheapness (there are even 20-inch wheels). The price in China is from 99.9 thousand yuan (1 million 75 thousand rubles).
At the top of the range is the three-row crossover Jetour X90 / X95 (4840 x 1925 x 1745 mm; wheelbase – 2850 mm). However, the basic equipment has only five seats, but instead of a sofa on the second row, you can order separate chairs with additional adjustments. There is no all-wheel drive here either, but with the update, the crossover got a 254-horsepower “turbo four”, which I will probably deforce for cars for Russia to “sub-tax” 249 or 190 (as on the Exeed TXL) l. With.
According to the Chinese Automobiles portal, Jetur Motors Rus is now certifying two models – Dasheng and X90, sales will begin in March. The source of the publication clarified that the retail price of Dasheng will be 2.2 million rubles, and the X90 will cost about 4 million rubles. It seems to us that the X90 will be cheaper than the Tiggo 8 Pro, for which they are now asking 3.47-3.59 million rubles, depending on the equipment. Indeed, in China, even the most expensive version of the X95 is estimated at 152.9 thousand yuan (1 million 646 thousand rubles).
Thus, in the spring, five brands of Chery Automobile will be presented on our market: Chery directly, the Exeed premium line, the fashion Omoda and two budget brands – Kaiyi and Jetour.
