This was reported by the press service of the Obukhov group of companies, the exclusive distributor of the SWM brand in Russia.
As specified in the Group’s management, dealer agreements have already been concluded in all major cities of Russia.
To date, over 40 dealer agreements have been signed.
It is expected that by the end of 2023, the SWM dealer network in Russia will expand to 50 auto centers.
Obukhov Group of Companies received the right to represent the SWM brand on the territory of the Russian Federation. The group will also deal with the supply of new cars, the organization of their after-sales service and warranty support for customers.
The production of SWM cars in the version for Russia, as already reported by Engine, is organized at the Kaliningrad plant Avtotor. At the moment, cars are assembled according to the technology of the so-called “screwdriver assembly”, the plans of the plant and the management of SWM are to switch to industrial production with welding and body painting.
“Local assembly will ensure the approved scheduled delivery of commercial vehicles to the dealer network and help establish competitive prices for products,” the management of the Obukhov Group of Companies notes.
In the line of SWM models for Russia there are three crossovers: the urban G01 F, the mid-size G01 and the full-size G05 Pro.
