The Skoda Enyaq electric crossover has an expensive Laurent & Klement package. “Skoda” in this design (she bears the names of two Vaclavs – Laurina and Klement, with whom the history of the brand began) have been sold since 1994 and are traditionally distinguished by rich equipment and finishing materials. But for the first electric car of the brand, this was not the end of the matter.
Note: such an Eniac does not have an iV prefix – the following electric vehicles of the brand will not have it either. The rear-wheel drive version has the Enyaq L&K 85 index, and the all-wheel drive version has the Enyaq L&K 85x index, that is, together with the Enyaq Coupe, four options are obtained. Now on the market there is a rear-engined Enyaq iV 80 (150 kW, 310 Nm) and a twin-engine all-wheel drive Enyaq iV 80x (195 kW, 425 Nm), but the 85s have eliminated this power discrepancy.
It’s all about the new APP550 modular electric drive, which debuted on the Volkswagen ID.7 liftback. Its return is 210 kW (286 hp) and 550 Nm, thanks to which the acceleration to “hundreds” of the Enyaq L&K 85 takes 6.7 seconds – exactly two seconds less than that of the Enyaq iV 80. And the top speed limiter has been moved from 160 to 180 km/h.
The twin-engine Enyaq L&K 85x has the same electric motors as other all-wheel drive versions (including the top-end RS), and their total peak output is software-limited to the same 210 kW. As a result – 6.6 s to “hundreds” (against 6.9 s for the Enyaq iV 80x) and the same 180 km / h “maximum speed”. Despite the increased power, the claimed range has increased: the rear-wheel drive Enyaq L&K can travel 570 km without recharging in the WLTP cycle, and the all-wheel drive – 550 km.
Under the floor of the passenger compartment, the old lithium-ion traction battery with a capacity of 77 kWh is installed, but the electronics are able to maintain the optimum temperature of the cells, so that the charging time from 10 to 80% of the DC terminal (even in cold weather) is less than half an hour.
Outside, expensive equipment is easiest to distinguish by bumpers and rear-view mirrors with silver lining, as well as nameplates on the front fenders. The side window frames and roof rails of the L&K version are chrome-plated, matrix headlights, diode illumination of the grille and light-alloy wheels with a special design with a diameter of 20 or, for a surcharge, 21 inches are provided as standard. When the door is opened, instead of the Skoda logo, the inscription “Welcome” is projected onto the ground.
The interior can be trimmed with beige or black leather, the seats have heating, ventilation and massage functions by default, and the pedal assembly is decorated with silver lining. The basic equipment includes a head-up display and a Canton audio system, and the multimedia system interface has been redesigned for simplicity and ease of use. The designers not only changed the icons and icons, but also added the logo of the special version to the splash screen. Finally, Kessy’s proprietary keyless entry system will lock the doors itself if you move away from the car with the keys in your pocket and will beep.
The new version will appear in the brand configurators in the near future. We expect that due to the rich equipment it will be comparable in cost to the more powerful modification of the RS, for which in Germany they ask for at least 63.3 thousand euros.
