The Russian representative office of the Changan brand announced the start of sales of the Alsvin compact sedan. And if its proportions seem somewhat outdated to you (small wheels, large overhangs), then this is not surprising, because the first generation of Alsvin debuted back in 2009 (and outwardly copied the Mazda 3), and the third generation sedan came to us in For informational purposes, they were brought five years ago – then it was not possible to compete with localized Hyundai, Kia, Renault, Skoda and VW (not to mention the Lada), and the Chinese refused to export. Now the situation has changed somewhat.
Unlike other inexpensive Chinese competitors (Kaiyi E5, Omoda S5 and Geely Emgrand 7 New, which will debut in Russia before the end of the year), Alsvin is a B-class sedan, not a C-class: the overall length is 4390 mm (this is 20 mm shorter than the Lada Vesta, but the distance between the axles of Changan is 100 mm less at once: 2535 mm versus 2635), width – 1725 mm (-39 mm), height – 1490 mm (-7 mm). Alsvin is also noticeably inferior to the Vesta-sedan in terms of ground clearance (150 mm versus 178) and trunk volume (380 liters versus 480). The suspension scheme is a classic of the budget segment: MacPherson strut in front, torsion beam in the back. Drum brakes are installed on the rear axle. Alloy wheels are 15 inches in diameter.
One of the few trump cards of the new “Changan” in front of “Vesta” will be the lack of a clutch pedal, because Chinese CVTs in Togliatti are only waiting for 2024. Alsvin is equipped with a 1.5-liter “aspirated” JL473QF (107 hp, 145 Nm) paired with a five-speed (!) preselective “robot”. In Changan, it is allowed to fill the car with AI-92 gasoline, but the volume of the fuel tank is modest even by the standards of the 40-liter class.
The interior is trimmed with artificial leather, the steering wheel is with electric power steering and multimedia system control buttons, but it is adjustable only in height, there are also two frontal airbags, cruise control, a rear-view camera with dynamic markings and parking sensors, air conditioning, a tool kit, a jack and a “stowaway” “.
On the central panel is a 7-inch touch screen multimedia system, “music” – with four speakers. For Alsvin in this version, LX is asked for 1,649,900 rubles. The DLX package will add an electromechanical sunroof, a tire pressure monitoring system, a right side-view camera and a start-stop system, and the price will rise to 1,709,900 rubles.
