The most simplified “Grants” got on the conveyor in Togliatti in early June, which helped to re-load production facilities after a long downtime. The abandonment of the airbag, air conditioning, belt tensioners, anti-lock braking system and other achievements of civilization made it possible to reduce the price to 678,300 rubles, thanks to which AvtoVAZ’s sales volumes reached last year’s figures (and Granta itself is sold in circulation of 13 thousand pieces every month).
Over time, the assembly of cars with air conditioning and airbags resumed in Tolyatti, and now the latter will once again become a mandatory attribute of Grants.
Instead of Classic’22, a new set of equipment Classic’22 Advance was formed, in which, in addition to airbags for the driver and front passenger, an ERA-GLONASS module, heated front seats and an audio system with four speakers appeared.
A sedan in this version will cost 749,900 rubles, and a liftback – 769,900 rubles.
Thus, the buyer of the basic “Grants” is now forced to choose: either a passenger airbag, heated seats and a radio tape recorder, or an air conditioner in the “Classic’22 Air Conditioner” package for 755,900 rubles.
AvtoVAZ plans to return the 16-valve engine and ABS module to Lada Granta in the first half of 2023. At about the same time, assembly of the restyled Lada Vesta will begin in Togliatti. Now the Grants are equipped with an eight-valve engine with an index of 11182 (90 hp, 143 hp), which is certified according to the Euro-2 eco-standard.
