The assembly of anti-sanction Granta at the plant in Togliatti has been going on for a month and a half. Recall that due to the shortage of imported electronics against the backdrop of sanctions against Russia, the car is produced in a simplified Classic’22 configuration – without an ABS unit, airbags and belt pretensioners. Among the unexpected victims was the air conditioning system – it is not offered for “Grants” even for a surcharge.
However, air conditioning is one of the most popular options for the most affordable car in Russia – according to AvtoVAZ statistics, about 80% of buyers prefer to pay extra for it.
And now they can do it, that’s just a rather big increase. So, a simplified sedan with air conditioning will cost 745,900 rubles, that is, immediately 67.6 thousand rubles more expensive than the same car with a “stove” and a fan. By the way, a similar sedan in the “full” Classic configuration with the Optima option package (air conditioning + heated mirrors) is available for 793,500 rubles.
The liftback with air conditioning is estimated at 765,900 rubles (the increase is the same 67.6 thousand rubles), and the Granta Cross station wagon is 811,900 rubles, that is, in the latter case, the air conditioner turned out to be another 2 thousand rubles more expensive.
Yesterday AvtoVAZ announced prices for the simplified Niva Legend. After the rejection of imported electronics, the car became cheaper by 22.4 thousand rubles, but it is still unclear whether the air conditioning system will eventually be included in the list of optional equipment for an SUV – before it was available for an extra charge only for the average Luxe configuration.
