The all-Japanese evergreen supercar has received its second facelift.

Just think: the trinity of the legendary “Skylines” GT-R – generations R32, R33 and R34 – was produced from 1989 to 2003, that is, 14 years. And the GT-R R35 has already entered its sixteenth year (the model was presented on October 24, 2007 at the Tokyo Motor Show), and the Japanese do not think to stop: we have another updated version of the long-lived supercar.

The last facelift is dated 2016 (small reforms were also in 2010 and 2013), but now there are more changes. The bumper now has a body-coloured horizontal bar, and a thin air intake slit is meant to remind fans of the brand of the R34 generation car. There are no more ventilation slots under the headlights (like the very first R35), and the “foglights” are made in the form of blocks of seven LED cells.

The front diffuser remained the same, but small canards appeared on the rear. At the rear, the updated GT-R can also be identified by a vertical brake light and “honeycombs” at the bottom of the bumper. The aerodynamic drag coefficient Cx has not changed after all the innovations (0.26).
The interior and technical characteristics of the basic version (3.8-liter V6 with the VR38DETT index produces 570 hp and 637 Nm) have not changed, but there are fewer vibrations and noises in the cabin, Nissan assures.

Nismo version interior
Introduced in 2021, the top-of-the-line Premium Edition T-Spec (its main features are carbon-ceramic brakes, Rays forged wheels and carbon fiber body parts) received a retuned suspension.
The track modification Nismo (600 hp, 652 Nm) with a predatory aerodynamic body kit also tried on a new design, and the working surface area of the rear wing has increased by 10%. But the main thing is that such a GT-R now has not only a rear, but also a front self-locking differential. Another nice bonus is the updated Recaro carbon fiber buckets.
