A fan of the British automaker Lotus, an independent Indian designer named Maitreya Dhanak showed how, in his understanding, the ideal Lotus race car should look like.
The project was named Lotus Evanora and is an electric car, the main focus of which is on weight reduction and aerodynamics.
Actually, this is why the body of an electric car looks like a sieve, which is especially noticeable when you look at it from above.
According to the Indian designer, such a body will help reduce the overall weight of the electric vehicle and significantly reduce its drag coefficient.
The idea is very interesting, however, if it works with weight reduction, then with a decrease in the drag coefficient, everything is not so simple, since aerodynamics is an exact science and requires appropriate calculations, as well as tests.
Other than that, it doesn’t matter. In any case, the work of the Indian designer deserves respect and it is possible that automakers will adopt his idea.
