The 1.6 16v engine, according to the press service of the Togliatti enterprise, has become available for all cars of the Granta family: sedan, liftback and Cross station wagon.
The starting price of the 16-valve “Grants” is 865,500 rubles.
The sedan in the Comfort package is estimated at the indicated amount, which includes two airbags, air conditioning, electric heating of the front seats, an audio system and other equipment.
The 1.6 16v engine develops 106 hp. at 5800 rpm and maximum torque of 148 Nm at 4200 rpm.
The manufacturer calls the variable volume intake module the main feature of the motor design. Special flaps change the configuration of the intake manifold depending on the engine speed. Due to this, the torque at low revs increases, the acceleration dynamics of the car improves and the elasticity of the engine increases.
Lada Granta is also equipped with a 1.6-liter 8-valve engine with 90 hp. Prices for 90-strong “Grants” start at 678,300 rubles.
