A new automotive brand from Iran may appear on the Russian market. And it’s not Iran Khodro. And not even SAIPA. At the Moscow Motor Show, the little-known company Chekad announced plans to release the first model of the Engine.

As representatives of Chekad told us, now the company is engaged in the manufacture of bodies and spare parts for the two largest automakers in Iran – Iran Khodro and SAIPA.
Previously, Daewoo was among the partners, but cooperation ceased after the transfer of the Korean automaker under the wing of General Motors.
In 2023, Chekad plans to start “assembly and production” of the first own car, which so far exists only in the form of a 3D prototype.
However, it is stated that the development of the car was attended by … specialists from Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin! Unfortunately, representatives of the company could not tell us other details about this sedan.
Representatives of the brand managed to announce that after the sedan, the Chekad line will include a crossover and a hatchback, both with gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines, and in a fully electric version. In the long term, the number of models under the Chekad brand may grow to twelve.
