Representatives of the Chery company revealed the timing of the entry into the Russian market of two new models, Autonews reports.
So, the premiere of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro e + hybrid crossover (in the title photo) will take place in March-April 2023. This modification of the familiar G8 was presented in 2021 at the Chengdu Motor Show. The power plant consists of a petrol “turboservice” 1.5 SQRE4T15C (156 hp, 230 Nm) and two electric motors with a capacity of 125 kW (170 hp) each.
Peak output is 326 hp. With. and 565 Nm of torque, acceleration to “hundreds” takes seven seconds: “Chinese” more powerful than 250 forces (with the exception of electric vehicles) have not yet been on our market.
A 19.27 kWh traction battery is installed under the floor, which provides up to 100 km of range in all-electric mode. And the declared fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 1 l / 100 km.
Sedan Chery Arrizo 8 will appear in Russia in the second half of the year. It will be designed not only for private clients, but also for corporate parks. Chery hopes that the model will be able to replace the previously popular Kia K5 and Toyota Camry, which are no longer produced in Russia.
According to preliminary information, the Chinese intend to keep the initial price within 2.5 million rubles, so they will opt for a simple modification with a 1.5-liter turbo engine (156 hp, 230 Nm for versions for the home market) and a CVT.

Also, according to the publication, two restylings are planned in the existing Chery model line during 2023. The update will affect the Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 8 crossovers, although the versions of these models with the Pro prefix are essentially the same restyling. Details will be announced later.
The first novelty of Chery in 2023 (and not only Chery, because the model was presented on January 1) was the compact crossover Tiggo 7 Pro Max. Despite the new prefix in the name, the “seven” did not have all-wheel drive, but the interior is now identical to the older Tiggo 8 Pro model. Prices start at 2,829,900 rubles, excluding discounts.
