The Russian premiere of the second generation of the mid-size crossover TXL took place in October last year. All this time, the model was sold with us with a motor from the first generation car – a “turbo four” 1.6 T-GDI with a return of 186 hp. With. and 275 Nm.
And the Sport Edition version has a 2.0 T-GDI engine with two overhead camshafts and direct injection from the flagship VX, but “strangled” in order to preserve the family hierarchy. Here it is set to 197 hp. With. and 375 Nm, although the versions for the Chinese market produce as many as 261 forces and 400 Newtons, while the Russian VX develops 249 hp. With. and 385 Nm. Therefore, the acceleration dynamics of the “sporty” TXL is worse than that of the heavier VX: 9 s to 100 km / h instead of 8.5 s.
There are no other technical innovations: the brakes and suspension remained unchanged. Only the red-painted brake calipers and the “poker” of the Getrag robotic “mechanics” selector allow you to distinguish the Sport Edition. The exterior palette was replenished with two new shades: “Galactic Gray” (pictured) and “Eclipse”.
In expensive TXLs, full-fledged seat heating is implemented (not only a pillow, but also a back), a retractable footrest, automatic mirror adjustment when reversing, a built-in DVR, two Type C chargers (one on each row) and a full-size “reserve” also appeared. The front windows received enhanced sound insulation, and the rear windows received tinting.
Taking into account all the innovations, the price of the car has increased by 400 thousand rubles compared to the previous top version of the Flagship: for TXL in the Sport Edition package, they ask for 4,649,900 rubles without discounts. By the way, this is only 230 thousand rubles less than the seven-seater VX in the initial version of Luxury.
