In the same place, in the vicinity of the village of Teriberka on the coast of the Barents Sea, a series of sea trials of an electric vehicle took place in conditions of polar latitudes and low temperatures.
From a technical point of view, the new i-Sky is identical to the Dongfeng Forthing Thunder electric crossover.
The machine is driven by an electric motor with a capacity of 150 kW (203.9 hp), developing a torque of 340 Nm.
The electric motor is powered by a traction battery with a capacity of 85.9 kWh; claimed range per charge exceeds the 500 km mark in the WLTC driving cycle.
The new i-Sky will be installed on the assembly line of the Motorinvest LLC plant in the Lipetsk region in the second quarter of this year.
According to Andrey Reznikov, managing partner of the company, Motorinvest expects to attract a young audience to the brand through the novelty.
“With the release of the model, we plan to enter the mid-size crossover segment and offer a new stylish and technological product with a large range and interior space in response to customer demand. The i-Sky electric crossover is able to attract a new audience to the brand – active young people with a modern philosophy of consumption and a conscious attitude to nature,” said A. Reznikov.
Currently, we recall that such Evolute models as the i-Pro sedan and the i-Joy crossover are available in Russia. Until the end of this year, Motorinvest intends to significantly expand the brand’s model range and bring five more new cars to our market.
