AvtoVAZ official dealers in Russia are running out of Lada Vesta cars. It is reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to distributors.
“Yes, indeed, there are very few such cars left, although earlier it was practically a sales locomotive. If someone is planning to buy a highly equipped Lada Vesta, you need to hurry. There are few cars,” Igor Bader, general director of Pragmatika Lada Kupchino, told the publication.
The metropolitan Lada dealer agrees with him, who confirmed that the stocks of Vesta family cars are running out.
The St. Petersburg interlocutor of the publication also warned about the dwindling stocks of Lada Xray hatchbacks. According to him, “on average, there are no more than two cars on the dealer’s site.”
The production of Xray and Vesta stopped this spring and has not resumed so far. However, if Vesta returns to the assembly line – and already in Togliatti, and not in Izhevsk – next year, then AvtoVAZ said goodbye to Xray forever.
According to Maxim Sokolov, the share of foreign components in the design of the car is too high. And the next in line for the conveyor is the Largus station wagon: the restart of production is planned for late 2022 – early 2023.
The easiest way now is to buy Granta and Niva – so far, the Togliatti Automobile Plant produces only these two families of cars. Moreover, in a simplified version: without anti-lock braking system and with Euro-2 class engines. Now every fourth new car in Russia is a Lada Granta, in the volume of dealer warehouses, the share of Granta is 50-60%, depending on the region.
“Niva Legend and Niva Travel are being shipped steadily, they occupy about 25% of the volume of dealer warehouses, and we see a very good demand for Niva Travel,” Bader adds.
