Let’s make a reservation that these announcements do not always coincide with reality: for example, at the end of last year, the Chinese promised to bring an all-electric crossover to our market, but ultimately limited themselves to gasoline models (in chronological order): Exeed LX, Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Omoda C5.
The first novelty in the new year will be the Tiggo 7 Pro Max crossover, that is, an analogue of the Chinese Chery Tiggo 7 Plus.
The model will receive an interior in the spirit of the older Tiggo 8 Pro, but the promised four-wheel drive is still in question: it seems that the cars imported for certification did not have it.
Also, the Arrizo 8 model will debut on the Russian market, which the Chinese predict a great future in corporate parks, because Kia K5 and Toyota Camry are now in short supply.
The D-class sedan (dimensions – 4780 x 1843 x 1469 mm), according to preliminary information, will be equipped with a simple bundle of a 1.5 turbo engine and a CVT, but the price will be in the range of 2-2.5 million rubles. Presumably, the sedan will be sold in Russia under the Omoda brand: this follows from the statements made during the launch of the brand.
Chery Arrizo 8
Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max will also receive a more technological version. This is a Pro e + hybrid modification (in the title photo), which was presented in 2021 at the Chengdu Motor Show. The power plant of the crossover consists of a petrol “turboservice” 1.5 SQRE4T15C (156 hp, 230 Nm) and two electric motors with a capacity of 125 kW (170 hp) each. A 19.27 kWh traction battery is installed under the floor, which provides up to 100 km of range in all-electric mode.
The peak power of the installation is 326 liters. with. and 565 Nm allows the Tiggo 8 Pro e + to accelerate to 100 km / h in 7 seconds, the declared fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 1 l / 100 km.
Chery Tiggo 7 Plus
Also during 2023, the line of versions of the Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 crossovers will be expanded. It is even possible that a new power unit and all-wheel drive will appear: according to rumors, the all-wheel drive Tiggo 7 Pro Max will share the power plant with the top-end Exeed LX.
